Frequently Asked Questions
What Makes My English Lessons Unique?
My English lessons stand out through a combination of personalized attention, clear structure, and learning based on real-life language use. I place special emphasis on supporting neurodivergent learners and students preparing for exams, as they often benefit most from a calm pace, logical explanations, and a predictable learning process.
For neurodivergent learners, a sense of safety and understanding is essential. My lessons are carefully structured and visually supported, with clearly defined goals for each session. Material is divided into small, manageable steps to prevent overwhelm and allow students to learn without pressure. This approach helps them focus on truly acquiring the language rather than coping with stress.
When it comes to exam preparation, such as TOEFL, what makes my lessons different is the strong focus on concrete exam strategies. Students don’t just learn the format, they learn how to build structured responses, manage their time effectively, and respond calmly under pressure. Lessons are goal-oriented, with measurable progress and a learning plan tailored to each student’s target score.
Regardless of the learning goal, students can expect:
-
clear and easy-to-understand explanations
-
lessons delivered at a calm, supportive pace
-
materials adapted to their individual learning style
-
regular, constructive feedback
-
learning that is practical and meaningful
What students and parents appreciate most is the sense that lessons are well-planned, predictable, and genuinely effective. English stops feeling chaotic or stressful, and starts becoming clear, manageable, and truly useful.
What Are the Most Common Concerns About Learning English Online — and How Do I Address Them?
Both parents and adult learners often share similar concerns before starting online English lessons. Below are the most common questions — and how I address them.
1. “Are online lessons as effective as in-person lessons?”
Yes. The effectiveness of online learning depends on structure and teaching approach , not location. My lessons are clearly structured, interactive, and supported by visual materials and regular feedback. As a result, students make meaningful progress and see real improvement.
2. “Will my child be able to focus in front of a screen?”
Lessons are conducted at a calm pace, with clearly defined goals and divided into short, manageable stages. I use varied activities and visual materials, which help children , especially neurodivergent learners, maintain attention without feeling overwhelmed.
3. “What if my child is afraid to speak English?”
There is no pressure or judgment during lessons. I create a safe, supportive environment where mistakes are treated as a natural part of learning. Students gradually build confidence and begin speaking at their own pace.
4. “Are the lessons adapted for neurodivergent learners?”
Yes. I have experience and certifications in working with neurodivergent students. Lessons are predictable, visually supported, and built around small steps, helping reduce stress and avoid overwhelm while supporting steady progress.
5. “Will we be able to track progress?”
Yes. Parents receive clear updates about their child’s progress, and adult learners receive regular feedback. We set goals together and monitor progress consistently.
6. “What if the lesson format isn’t the right fit?”
That’s why I offer a trial lesson. It allows us to assess the learning pace, teaching style, and overall fit. After the session, I recommend the most suitable learning plan.
7. “Does online exam preparation really work?”
Yes. Exam preparation is based on clear strategies, structured responses, and practice with authentic exam tasks. Students know what to expect and how to prepare effectively.
8. “Are lesson recordings secure?”
Recordings are available only upon request and are used exclusively for educational purposes. They are shared privately with the student or parent and are never published or used elsewhere.
Summary
My goal is for students and parents to feel confident and reassured from the very first contact. Clear structure, individualized support, and open communication make online English learning safe, effective, and comfortable.
What Should You Know Before Starting Lessons?
Before we begin working together, there are a few important things worth knowing—especially to help new students (and parents) feel confident and comfortable from the very first meeting.
We Start by Getting to Know the student.
Every collaboration begins with a trial lesson or diagnostic conversation. This allows me to:
-
assess the student’s language level
-
understand their goals and needs
-
choose the most suitable lesson format and pace
There is no need to prepare in advance—the purpose of this meeting is simply to calmly determine the best way to plan your learning journey.
Lessons Are Personalized—Not Pre-Made
I don’t follow a rigid, one-size-fits-all program. Each student receives:
-
an individual learning plan
-
clearly defined goals
-
materials adapted to their age, level, and learning style
This ensures that learning feels meaningful and leads to real progress.
No Pressure, No Judgment
In my lessons:
-
mistakes are treated as a natural part of learning
-
there is no pressure or shaming
-
the pace is adjusted to the student
This is especially important for children, neurodivergent learners, and those who may have had difficult past experiences with language learning.
Clear and Transparent Guidelines
At the beginning, we agree on:
-
lesson frequency
-
payment structure (lesson packages)
-
cancellation or rescheduling policies
-
communication and feedback methods
This makes the cooperation transparent and comfortable for both sides.
Support for Parents
For children’s lessons, parents:
-
are informed about what we are working on
-
receive updates on progress
-
can rely on clear communication and ask questions whenever needed
Most Important
You don’t need to be “good at English” to start.
All you need is the willingness to learn and the readiness to work consistently—I'll take care of the rest.
1. What Age Groups and Levels Are the Lessons Designed For?
I offer lessons for children from around the age of 8, as well as teenagers and adults—from beginner to advanced level.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s age, language level, and individual learning goals.
Do You Offer Online Lessons, and What Do They Look Like?
Yes, all lessons are conducted online.
Each session is structured, delivered at a calm pace, and based on active interaction. Students receive learning materials, exercises, and clear instructions, while parents stay informed about what their child is working on.
3. Do You Have Experience Working with Neurodivergent Children?
Yes. I hold certifications in teaching neurodivergent learners (including ADHD, dyslexia, and autism spectrum conditions) and have practical experience working with children and adults with diverse educational needs.
I have also worked with neurodivergent students in the United States, supporting them in English Language Arts (ELA) and helping them develop reading, writing, and grammar skills.
My lessons are structured, visually supported, and adapted to each student’s individual abilities and learning style.
4. How Often Are Lessons Held?
Lesson frequency is determined individually. Most students attend 1–2 lessons per week.
For exam preparation or more intensive learning goals, additional sessions can be scheduled.
5. Do You Offer a Trial Lesson?
Yes. A trial (diagnostic) lesson is available for new students. It allows me to assess your language level and recommend the most suitable plan for your further learning.
6. How Are Prices Determined and in What Currency?
Prices are set in U.S. dollars (USD), and lessons are primarily offered in packages. This ensures consistent learning and more cost-effective pricing compared to single-session bookings.
7. Are Learning Materials Included in the Price?
Yes. All teaching materials required for the lessons are included in the price. Students do not need to purchase additional textbooks unless we decide otherwise together.
8. Do You Review Written Work and Provide Feedback?
Yes. Depending on the type of lessons, I provide correction of written work, clear explanations of mistakes, and constructive feedback that helps students improve without stress.
9. Is It Possible to Record a Lesson?
Yes. Upon request from the student or parent, lessons can be recorded for educational purposes—for example, for revision or independent practice between sessions.
10. What If We Need to Cancel or Reschedule a Lesson?
Cancellation and rescheduling policies are clearly discussed and agreed upon at the beginning of our cooperation.
I always aim to remain flexible while maintaining clear and transparent guidelines.
11. Do Parents Receive Updates on Their Child’s Progress?
Yes. Parents receive regular updates on their child’s progress, along with practical guidance on how to support learning outside of lessons.
12. How Can I Enroll in Lessons?
The easiest way is through the booking form on the website or by email at: info@kingateaches.com
